So personally, I would purchase the Furutech unless cost is an issue. The Furutech FT-2PS runs quite a bit more (~$46 as of this writing, but makes the soldering much easier by separating the pins with plastic, features an internal clamp for strain relief, is made of tough plastic, and looks great. This very different from the wiring of the 6.3mm jack portion, which uses one connector for stereo, the left one with the negative polarity output from the amplifier and right one with the positive polarity (normally that connector should be used for critical listening). Flux can be helpful for this, and I personally fill the cavity with a plastic-like hardening adhesive for longevity. It's a flexible molded plastic with not much room for the wire to be soldered to the internal pins, and the rhodium needs to be heated enough so the solder takes, but not enough for the plug to melt. The Cardas HPSC is reasonably priced ($~16 as of this writing), but not ideal for beginners. Cardas and Furutech, the Cardas HPSC and Furutech FT-2PS. Recommendations: There are only a couple of DIY connectors out there that are compatible with the Sennheiser HD265, HD525, HD535, HD545, HD565, HD565 II, HD580, HD600 and the HD650. . The pins of the XLR connector are arranged in a circular fashion as shown in the figure. All these variants have both male and female versions. The most common XLR is the 3-pin connector, but there are other connector variants whose number of pins ranges from two to seven. The larger pin should be used for ground/negative, and the smaller pin is signal/positive. XLR Pinout The XLR connectors are circular in shape. It's difficult to notice on a quick glance, but one is larger than the other. The Sennheiser HD connector features two pins. The strain-relief system is a little awkward with set-screws and different-sized plastic rings, otherwise relatively easy to use. ViaBlue T6s: If you're looking for audio jewelry, this will scratch your itch. in rare cases you can run into a dud (in my experience). If you order a ton of the right angle versions, be sure to test them before use. Oyaide: A bit overpriced in my opinion, but the long shaft version is one of the only connectors I know of that can fit Ultrasone headphones. If you have the scratch step up to the Amphenol K Series. Neutrik REAN NYS231: Very slightly smaller than the Switchcraft, not as well made in my humble opinion, but low cost and works. Recommendations: There are tons of great options out there from Switchcraft, Canare, Oyaide, ViaBlue, Amphenol and more:Īmphenol K Series: Great value and there is an extended shaft version for use with phone cases.Ĭanare F12: Perfect if you are using thick cable thanks to the large barrel, but a bit heavy and may not fit some devices due to size.įurutech FT-735 (R): I personally avoid this rhodium plated 3.5mm, the ground sleeve does not accept solder even at high temperatures in my experience and I had one where the tip broke off.

Yet the greatest concentration of outgoing rays is found at these 40-42 degree angles of deviation. Other paths are dependent upon the location of the sun in the sky and the subsequent trajectory of the incoming rays towards the droplet. Some of the paths are dependent upon which part of the droplet the incident rays contact. There are a multitude of paths by which the original ray can pass through a droplet and subsequently angle towards the ground. As shown in the diagram, the red light refracts out of the droplet at a steeper angle toward an observer on the ground. Because of the tendency of shorter wavelength blue light to refract more than red light, its angle of deviation from the original sun rays is approximately 40 degrees. The angle of deviation between the incoming light rays from the sun and the refracted rays directed to the observer's eyes is approximately 42 degrees for the red light. Since the boundaries are not parallel to each other, the double refraction results in a distinct separation of the sunlight into its component colors. The shorter wavelength blue and violet light refract a slightly greater amount than the longer wavelength red light. As in the case of the refraction of light through prisms with nonparallel sides, the refraction of light at two boundaries of the droplet results in the dispersion of light into a spectrum of colors. But for the entry location shown in the diagram at the right, there is an optimal concentration of light exiting the airborne droplet at an angle towards the ground. Other entry locations into the droplet may result in similar paths or even in light continuing through the droplet and out the opposite side without significant internal reflection. Upon refracting twice and reflecting once, the light ray is dispersed and bent downward towards an observer on earth's surface. A light ray from the sun enters the droplet with a slight downward trajectory. The diagram at the right depicts such a path. One path of great significance in the discussion of rainbows is the path in which light refracts into the droplet, internally reflects, and then refracts out of the droplet. Each path is characterized by this bending towards and away from the normal. There are countless paths by which light rays from the sun can pass through a drop. The droplet causes a deviation in the path of light as it enters and exits the drop. And upon exiting the droplet, light speeds up and bends away from the normal. The decrease in speed upon entry of light into a water droplet causes a bending of the path of light towards the normal. Light waves refract when they cross over the boundary from one medium to another. The water represents a medium with a different optical density than the surrounding air. To understand these questions, we will need to draw upon our understanding of refraction, internal reflection and dispersion.Ī collection of suspended water droplets in the atmosphere serves as a refractor of light. But just exactly how do the droplets of water disperse and reflect the light? And why does the pattern always appear as ROYGBIV from top to bottom? These are the questions that we will seek to understand on this page of The Physics Classroom Tutorial. The net effect of the vast array of droplets is that a circular arc of ROYGBIV is seen across the sky. As you sight into the sky, wavelengths of light associated with a specific color arrive at your eye from the collection of droplets. Each individual droplet of water acts as a tiny prism that both disperses the light and reflects it back to your eye. To view a rainbow, your back must be to the sun as you look at an approximately 40 degree angle above the ground into a region of the atmosphere with suspended droplets of water or even a light mist. A rainbow is an excellent demonstration of the dispersion of light and one more piece of evidence that visible light is composed of a spectrum of wavelengths, each associated with a distinct color. One of nature's most splendid masterpieces is the rainbow. In the event the license was purchased through a reseller on behalf of a client the client academic institution is the licensee. So we can using edible gelatin to make candy. Make the ice cream soft and smooth, taste fine. Coupled with the emulsification and freezing effect of edible gelatin. But also can reduce the melting rate of ice cream. In the production of ice cream, edible gelatin as a stabilizer can prevent the formation of coarse ice crystal. It an completely inhibit the growth of sugar crystals. Generally in 70% of the syrup to add about 1% edible gelatin. Edible gelatin in solution can inhibit the crystallization of sugar, or make the formation of crystals smaller. Making the soup thick and not greasy, easy to digest, and rich in nutrition. Using the emulsifying properties of edible gelatin, the oil in meat products can form an emulsion. Edible gelatin helps to form oil-in-water emulsions, which can emulsify the oil of meat products and maintain the original characteristics. A stabilizer of emulsion can not only use edible gelatin, but also as a protective colloid for micro foam and suspended solids. Can make other substances evenly distributed in the gelatin solution, no sedimentation, no precipitation. It will not only produce foam, and can make the foam stable. High quality gelatin with strong gel strength in need. Especially when producing soft candy and toffee with sufficient elasticity and full shape. In confectionery production, gelatin has more elasticity, toughness and transparency than starch and AGAR. The ingredients of sugar-flavored pastilles or jujube candies are required to contain gelatin 2% ~ 7%. Add 1.15% to 9% in the thick syrup of candy slime. The amount of gelatin in the gummy candy is 6.17%. It works best when the gelatin is 6% in jellybeans. Even under a large load does not deformation.Using edible gelatin to make candy. And the soft candy can maintain a stable form. So that the gap of the gel are completely fill by the sugar and water. After being dissolved in water, gelatin particles can attract and interweave each other to form a network structure of overlapping layers. Gelatin has the function of absorbing water and supporting the bone. Which is a kind of low calorie food gelatin/hydrophilic colloid with high nutritional value. Therefore, we also call it animal gelatin or fat gelatin. Such as animal skin, bone, sarcolemma and succulent muscle. Which are partially degraded by collagen in connective tissue. Gelatin is a kind of white or light yellow, translucent, lustrous flakes or powder particles. Especially in the production of elastic enough, full shape of fudge, toffee, more need high quality gelatin gel strength.Using edible gelatin to make candy. The gelatin used is more elastic, toughness and transparency than starch and AGAR. So that the soft candy has a stable shape and does not deform under a large load. The gel holes are completely full by the sugar and water. And with the temperature drop and condensation. Its particles dissolve in water, attract, interweave each other, form a mesh structure. Gelatin have the function of the suction and the formation of the bone. Used in the production of jelly, candy, jelly can use gelatin. In candy production, jelly agent, stabilizer, emulsifier, adhesive, water retention agent. Therefore how to use gelatin to make candy? So gelatin wholesale is also very popular. Edible gelatin is an additive in candies, used in the production of toffee, meringue, marshmallows, etc. He listened and replied, “Nope! No music!” Her husband replied, “There was no music on the plane.” On the return trip she again heard the music and nudged her husband. One woman commented to her husband after they arrived at their hotel that she had really enjoyed the music on the plane trip. Make no mistake, when we hear pseudo-auditory hallucinations, it is a very real experience to us. That is why some people think it is tinnitus, but it isn’t. However, the effect may be much the same. Pseudo-auditory hallucinations arise from a different place in our brains than tinnitus. It sounds more like an orchestra warming up.” Another woman described hers thus “When I am in a real quiet room I hear this humming in my head like someone is humming a song but can’t keep a tune.” And a man described his as, “some song that sounds for all the world like it belongs as a theme song for PBS, but I can’t place it.” One lady described hers as, “like the wind blowing, but with a musical quality, as if someone off in the distance was singing without words.” Another lady said, “I’ve never heard a tune that I could identify. Pseudo-auditory hallucinations sound vaguely like tunes, music or voices. This report went on to say that there is nothing wrong with these people mentally. In fact, according to one medical report, people often hear what sounds like the National Anthem. One lady heard what sounded like “The Star Spangled Banner” playing over and over in her head. Many of us hard of hearing people hear pseudo-auditory hallucinations from time to time. The big difference between true auditory hallucinations and pseudo-auditory hallucinations is that pseudo-auditory hallucinations are always vague-not clear and understandable. People don’t talk much about pseudo-auditory hallucinations because they think others will think they are nuts if they do. In contrast, pseudo-auditory hallucinations have nothing to do with mental illness, but have everything to do with our faulty ears. True auditory hallucinations are a sign of mental illness such as schizophrenia and have nothing to do with our ears. True auditory hallucinations are when you can clearly hear and understand voices (that are not there) talking to you. There is a very important difference between these two flavors. There are true auditory hallucinations and false or pseudo-auditory hallucinations. This is what you are hearing.Īuditory hallucinations come in two distinctive flavors. In contrast, people with auditory hallucinations hear more complex things that sound like voices, singing or music. Tinnitus may have a tonal quality, but it is always a simple sound-basically a monotone. To some people, tinnitus sounds like rushing water, breaking glass or chain saws running.” For those of you who do not have tinnitus, our tinnitus may be a ringing, roaring, beating, clicking, banging, buzzing, hissing, humming, chirping, clanging, sizzling, whooshing, rumbling, whistling or dreadful shrieking noise in our ears. “If you have tinnitus, you know what it sounds like-at least to you. Here is a quote from my book on Tinnitus. Tinnitus is by far the most common of these phantom sounds. There are two classes of such sounds-tinnitus and auditory hallucinations. Is this some strange kind of tinnitus?Īnswer: This is a fascinating subject! What you are hearing are phantom sounds-sounds that are not really there, but are generated inside your head. Sometimes I hear what sounds like music or people singing or talking. It's sort of a two course meal instead of a smorgasbord. So the company worked on a quick editing mode and an expert editing mode for further refinement. Gager said the interest in video has led to an increase in sales of the bundled Elements (both Photoshop and Premiere Elements). But traditional tools to edit video require going back to school. Now that we're all taking great HD video with multiple devices, the problem is to make our clips actually watchable. Gager was pleased that new users find it more approachable but long-standing users aren't hampered by it. It went out into the world in a beta version of Elements 11 in January and has been refined since then. On a more concrete level, the release improves easy of use with a new interface that's much more pleasant to use than the older one, which was gradually disappearing on higher resolution monitors. This release focused on three goals: improve ease of use, instant sharing and easy video editing. In a briefing with Senior Product Manager Bob Gager, he explained development of Elements is pushed along by customer requests in concert with the team's evaluation of industry trends. We've been playing with a pre-release version of Elements 11. There's always something new to learn in this game and Elements has been around for over 10 years, so we suspect it has a faithful following that really likes this approach. Half of all Elements users are 50 or over, according to Adobe. It has all the power of the big guys but it has more help than less powerful approaches. If you want to know more than just what button to press, Elements is for you. It leads you by the hand through some sophisticated edits but they're still sophisticated edits, not just an array of presets to pick from. But the editor lets you take your images beyond snapshots and your video beyond rough cuts to something you can be proud to share.Īnd - here's what we love - Elements doesn't take any shortcuts. And the sharing efficiencies actually make it feasible to show you were there. The conveniences of the Organizer are greatly appreciated when you return from some event with a card full of images. The Organizer got face recognition (in Elements 8), the Editor got the Healing Brush, more cool tricks were included as well as more ways to share. Over the years Elements has evolved, adding more and more new technology into its affordable and approachable package. But it doesn't teach you how to get from one to the other - or even when to use the first. When we recently reviewed ACDSee Pro 5, we took pains to show 1) how simple it was to automatically enhance an image and 2) how the program could also handle far more complex image edits, like split toning. But the reason we've always been fond of Elements is quite different: Learn. Adobe describes its Photoshop/Premiere Elements package with four words: Organize, Edit, Create and Share. Click on this tab, and then find the Compress Pictures option. On the ribbon, you'll see a Picture Format tab. (Image source: Envato Elements.) To get started with image compression, select an image inside of your PowerPoint PPT file. You can also export PDF files to PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, which’s what allows you to do more with your PPT slides, such as compress images in PDFelement. Choose the Picture Format > Compress Pictures option to start compressing an image in PowerPoint. Select a slide that contains an image or picture. Luckily, you can change the picture compression settings to reduce the overall file size. How to: Compress images in PowerPoint Open your PowerPoint file. The default compression is currently turned on, but isnt applied to the presentation until the file is saved manually by the user. Crack a PPTX open and look at presProps.xml in the ppt folder within the PPTX/ZIP file. Compress a Picture Using photos greatly improves the quality of your presentation, but the downside is that they add a lot to the presentation's file size. Compression DPI and whether or not to discard image data are stored per-presentation. Annotating, converting from, and into PDFs as well as from image formats to other image formats or PDF is also supported, including filling out your PDF forms professionally. Click the Reset Picture button on the Format tab. You can also use PDFelement to edit your PDF documents and images, as well as creating new PDFs and editing and creating form fields fast. Optimizing and compressing documents are also features in the tool, as well as archiving in the PDF/A format.Īdding a signature into your PDFs is easy with PDFelement, including securing your PDF files using passwords and diverse permissions. With PDFelement for Windows or Mac you can make the most of batch processing of documents, redact the most sensitive information on your PDF files and take advantage of bates numbering. Essentially, PDFelement allows you to use OCR (optical character recognition) feature to transform your scanned paper and PDF scanned files into PDF documents you can edit and search. JPG, also known as JPEG, is a file format that can contain image with 10:1 to 20:1 lossy image compression technique. |
